How can I get more traffic to my site?

I have a webcomic, I want to make it popular but nobody visits it because it's a subdomain name. How can I make people notice it without advertising?

Hi, I started a small bowling site last year, www.newballz.com . I had the same problem, how do I get traffic. Getting traffic is the hardest thing to achieve with a website. Try to get links to your website everywhere you can!  I just got my link thrown up at onefreelink.com.  Their new but they are growing and I got a good spot at the top of the category page.

You should invest in getting your very own unique domain name if this is something you are serious about. If you need guaranteed visitors to your webcomic you are going to have to do some type of advertising to a certain degree,remember even telling somebody you have a webcomic would be considered word of mouth.But this is the internet somebody out there is searching for your niche its just a matter of how and when the reach it. Hi, when you submit your site to the search engine, it will not be indexed immediately.  It takes time, even if it is indexed, it might not be in the first page of a search.  Search engines use "spiders" to visit a site when submitted.  If the site is "relevant" it will speed up the process of ranking high in search engines.

Content is King!  Give a lot of tweaking on your contents.  The more oringinal your content is, the faster it will be indexed by the search engines.
