Everytime I get out her toothbrush, she opens her mouth then turns away and twists in my arms. It is very difficult. I want to make it a nice experience for her, so she enjoys cleaning her teeth.

  1. after u cleaned her teeth you could have like a sweet or a toy for her to have

  2. Cool tooth brushes..something the vibrates with a charater there is also a tooth brush that plays music..she might enjoy that..but she is young so i really dont know..but  i loved cartoon charater...like the backyardaigns or dora

  3. I had this same problem, my daughter would scream and scream it was a night mare...........This solution works great for me.

I give her, her toothbrush with only water on it and let her sit on the counter and watch herself brush her teeth while I do mine, and she likes to put her toothbrush under the water whenever I do. Then after I'm all done, I tell her ok my turn and I will tell her to open wide and show me her teeth.......once I get toothpaste on it I kinda put my arm around the top of her head so that my hand in wrapped around her forhead....but not tight;y because being held down is what most kids hate more than the toothbrush. Anyways I brush very quickly before she closes hr mouth again I give her a second and we start the process over again.....if you try to get them all at once and keep her mouth open, or hold her down it's not going to be easy.

  4. Get her a nice tasting toothpaste. I used to have a bubble gum one when I was little and I loved brushing my teeth then

  5. Make it a game. Offer her a reward for letting you do it. Buy very good tasting childrens toothpaste.

  6. after i brush my sons teeth i let him play with the tooth brush and now everytime we go into the bathroom he goes in the drawer and gets his tooth brush out. even when im not brushing his teeth i will let him play with it. he puts it in his mouth and tries to brush his own teeth. i bought him the infant tooth paste and he loves the taste of it. so he really enjoys brushing them now. as long as he gets to help. if i just do it all for him he gets mad and wont let me brush them.

  7. best thing is to give the brush all to herself....do this for a week then slowly take hold of the brush... sing a song while you do it like, "brush brush your teeth up and down all around" make it catchy and rhythmic everytime you brush her teeth....then in no time she will be doing it all by herself and enjoying too. all the best.

  8. Let her brush your teeth at the same time.

  9. definately sing to her and give her a mirror so she can see what you are doing. Also, let her 'pretend' to brush your teeth after you brush hers. She may enjoy that! Finally, make sure the toothpaste you use tastes good and that you are gentle when you clean.

  10. sing her a song about her pretty smile - the song lasts as long as the brushing - so she knows when the brushing will end too...

here is a link to a bunch of teeth songs and poems for you :)

  11. what do you use for toothpaste?...if you use a minty oneshe might not like the taste...try getting a bubble gum toothpase and let her pick out a new toothbrush...take her to like walmart and go to the dental section.

show her the toothbrushes with dora and barbie and other cartoons that she may like...it will make her look forward to the next time she needs to brush.

  12. Make it a game so she thinks it's fun.  Sing a fun song about brushing your teeth and let her see you brush yours too so she sees other people doing it.  It's what we did for my step son.

  13. There are these new musical toothbrushes that play music that only the person with the toothbrush pused up against their teeth can hear. They are pretty cool, and the music stops when they have brushed their teeth for two minutes. My sister has a Hannah montana, Jonas Brothers, Camp rock, and Cheeta Girls combanation one. Plays 6 different songs. They are at wal-mart for like 12 dollars.

  14. what i did was start at 4months and now she is 14motnhs she wants to do it herself so i let her do it then i say mummys turn and she is more hten happy to hand it over for me to do.

try it for a bit let her have it superivised and see if she lets you have a turn

    goodluck
