How can I get my 4yr old's old battery powered toy to work for my 1yr old? Were the old battereies in to long?

  1. It really depends on what type of battery. If it is a rechargeable and you don't charge it often then it will go flat and not work. For normal batteries like AAA or AA it is possible that they were left in the toy to long and corroded the system. You need to look at the electrical contacts where the batteries connect and look for corrosion. The metal should be a nice silver color. If you do have corrosion you might be able to scape some of it off to make the toy work again.


  2. It depends what type of battery it was and how long the batteries were in the toy. I would just change the batteries and see if it works.

  3. try a um whats that name of that thing,oh yea an adapter it would have to be plugged to the adapter,if the batteries were in too long the toys inside is probably too corroded with battery acid.If all else fails wear a few pair of gloves and clean out the battery part real well and try some new Duracell battery's.
