How can I get my Hotmail address back? It is even refusing my password.?

A month or so ago Hotmail stopped letting me go strait to it. I could only get to it through Windows Live Messenger. Then yesterday it would not let me in there or even use the Windows Live Messenger too. It is claimed I never had it, yesterday. Yet I have had it for years. Today it is only claiming that my pass word is wrong. But I know it it is correct. And I use the specal one and it refuses the code answer too. Help.

I had the same experience. I used the forgot password feature, and they reset with new password. Now I can access it but the inbox is blank.

Your going to have to contact MSN on resetting your password.

Most likely you had a very simple password that was cracked by BruteForce.  

Hopefully all of your information wasnt changed and MSN can help you!

EDIT -

Your password should be the following -

1)  More than 8 to 10 characters

2)  Be a passphrase and NOT a word in the dictionary

3)  Contain Upper/Lower/Numbers and MOST important, special chacacters that are not common letter substituted (A = @ or S = $)

No matter what, you can always crack a password.  It just takes time.  Or you could of been on a public computer with a keylogger.

Either way, reset your password thru MSN and make sure you computer is patched/updated and has working AV with current definitions.  

Also, change your password on other sites with the same password!
