How can I get my Sony TV to go to menu lost remote have generic remote that don't have menu?

OUCH....you have a major problem...Sony is one brand of TV that DOES NOT LIKE universal remotes....

But.....LG makes the "most universal" universal remote....

In your situation, I would get the original Sony remote and be done with it.....

But if you find the LG in a local store, that's the one that I would attempt to use...of course, if it doesn't work at all, then in MY CASE I just use it on other TV sets I work on......

In your case, you're out the money for the LG remote....

So, save yourself some headaches. Get the original Sony remote.

Now SONY universal remotes seem to work pretty well with SONY...but you need to make sure you buy the DELUXE SONY universal, as the basic ones seem to run short of menu controls...

You can order the same one you lost from the store where you bought your Sony or a Sony company store. I did. It was pretty expensive $50.00 five years ago, but worth it.

Got a Target nearby? Just get a Sony universal for under $25.00. They will work just fine.
