You should get your website in the local listings both on Yahoo and Google. Get back links to the website. You can get nonreciprocal links if you do not want a link page. Be sure the meta tags are showing the area you want to target and also what the tag definitions are for the service or product offered. You may want to put up a blog many name brand companies are doing this including the TV and radio stations. It adds a personal dimension and informs on another level.
