The management at my off-campus student housing has decided not to have any recycling on our premises, therefore, hundreds of students are throwing away thousands of pounds of recyclable items. What can I do to change this?

  1. Organise a petition and get as many residents to sign it as you can. With everyones support, you could demand it. Power To The People!

  2. Try and find something to do so you dont have time to worry over stuff like this. Knitting is good.

  3. Maybe you can put your own boxes out there and take it upon yourself to make sure the recyclables get to the appropriate sorting sites.  I know that's a huge endeavor, but if your office won't budge, it might be your only option.  I live in an area where recycling is also not offered, so I have to gather up all my stuff and take it to the recycling center.  If you've got access to a truck, you could also take other people's stuff.  Just an idea.  Good luck.
