Question:

How can I get my bunnies to get along?

I brought my [spayed] girl bunny home from a shelter, and she was extremely shy at first. I already had my boy bunny, whom I had neutered a month later because he would not stop harassing her. No sooner did he recover from his operation did she start chasing him, getting jealous when I would hold him, and literally chewing his butt everytime she gets ahold of him. They used to cuddle together at first, and now my boy bunny is scared spitless of her. He is 1 year old, she is 2. Is there anything I can do, or will they grow out of it?

  1. This should help you out - aptly titled, "Bonding When the Going Gets Rough."

If they were separated while he was recovering, it's like starting with two strange bunnies. Even if they were friendly before, you're still starting from scratch now!

  2. shes probably showing domanance. she feels that u are spending more time w/ him. take some time to play w/ both at the same time but give her a little bit more attention.
