Question:

How can I get my caller ID to show up when using a prepaid phone card?

I use a phone service called OneSuite where I use a PIN with the company to make long distance and international calls. When I call someone, they look at the caller ID and say "What are you doing in California?" I'm not. I live in Louisiana. OneSuite is obviously routing my calls through Calif. Unlike many other people, I actually WANT my caller id to show up on the phone of the person I'm calling, especially when I'm making a business call. I called OneSuite and they told me I can't get my own number to show up when using their service. Does anyone know of a prepaid long-distance company where I CAN get my caller ID to show up?

  1. Only certain prepaid phones will do this ... usually the ones you give your information to your cell phone provider.  If you are just buying them from walgreens and loading minutes then it wont show your number in most states.

  2. Yes, you can do it with CallCentric and rolling your own calling card through their VoIP service with calling card access activation.

    Here is how:

Purchase a local DID (Direct Inbound Dialing phone number) for your area code, for only $1.95/month.

Then, through your account web admin page, set your DID to be used for Calling Card Access.

Now, when you make calls through your local DID, the calls will show up as coming from that DID phone number.

  3. I also use onesuite.com but, when it comes to the caller-id  there is nothing you can do! because the caller-ID comes from there toll-free access number! After a while my family kinda knows the number.. .... .from onesuite.com
