It used to stop working if I pressed the skip button or it wouldnt read a cd becaue it was too hot, etc. But yesterday, perfect day no heat/humidity/nothing it refused to take a burned cd, a real cd, and even the cleaning cd. I dont know where to look to see if wires are loose or anything else like that (I hate to admit Im a female and could care less about cars half the time and I dont have time to take it to a shop). Anyone have any ideas??

  1. that problem is not related to wires on the installation. that problem is on the stereo itself, seen that it turns on perfect and the only problem is getting it to take/read CD's.

look around in the front of the stereo, on the face plate or with the faceplate open, and see if there is a button labeled "reset". press it for 10-15 seconds, and release it. sometimes this fixes that problem.

if the problem is still there, then you will have to either send it to the manufacturer for maintenance, or just but a new updated stereo.

good luck, hope it helps you out
