How can I get my cat to stop dropping her toys into the water bowl that she shares with 2 other cats?

i dont think theres much you can do about that but putting them a bowel out each means that they all will get a drink as a lot of animals dont like sharing food or water with other animals this may be why she keeps putting her toy in there

Since your cat knows that that water bowl is his, and it will always be in the same place, he thinks of it as a safe place to "store" his beloved items. my cat does the same thing.

maybe get a bigger water bowl, or one of the ones that have running water?

LOL...sorry but that's so cute. I doubt she will stop since she is putting her toys in there, she is letting the other cats know that she is TOP KITTY and don't mess with HER waterbowl. You might try setting out 2 more water bowl for the other cats away from the one putting the toys in the water.

Sorry you just can't!  Years ago we had a lovely blue MC who always did this and eventually we (including the other cats and the dog) did get used to it.  And, we did have several water bowls in the house.

Just yesterday our new kitten decided the water bowl was the "best" place for his toys!

My cat does that too! Everyday we come home from work, if there isn't a toy in the water, it's right by the bowl. The thing is she has colored toys so it turns the water whatever shade of the dye in the toy. =/
