  1. go into a big field with cows and steal one lol. buy some from a farmer.

  2. Depending on which area of the world you live in, I'd grab the yellow pages and look  up the "4-H" organization in your area, most rural parts of the U.S. and Canada have a club....or just drive out to the farming area of your community and go to the house and ask them, they are going to know, or at least be able to point you in the proper direction....but just so as you know, feed, inoculations, vet visits and basic boarding runs about $500.00 per month averaged out over the 2 yr life of a slaughter cow, so pick your pets and your projects carefully, animals should never be purchased on a whim.  Cheers from Canada.-Tripod.

  3. The best way is to buy one.  (There are still some pretty severe laws on the books for cattle rustling.)

Seriously, if you have a place to keep it and the means to feed it, go to a cattle auction near you and buy one.  If you don't have one nearby, ask your county agricultural commissioner for help.

  4. Depending upon where you live, the best place would be at a livestock auction and be prepared to spend $$$ and you may have to haul it home yourself. Some auctions do have people who will haul but they usually only take a small herd. If you live in a rural area like we do the local newspaper classified section and look for livestock for sale: they'll have auctions listed there too. Good luck.
