  1. The others here are correct. You can however list your home for free using Postlets.com and then add you home to Craigslist via the code Postlets gives you, then go to any HelpMeSell.com site and you can get your listing put on Yahoo Real Estate for free. Additionally, Finance This Home.com and other lender paid for sites will also get you some great exposure for no cost. Also consider the getting a 877infoline.com number and make you home a talking home and add that  number in you newspaper ad.

  2. MLS is a member only system. You have to be a member of the local association to be able to list a home or to access all the information on each listing. There are several limited service companies in most states that will put a home on MLS for a fee.

  3. It is a business and they wanted to get paid. You have to pay something.

  4. I am unsure of which state you live in, but here in NY state, I believe only "Realtors" will be able to "list" a house on the MLS or Multiple Listing Service.  You could try calling the MLS office directly and asking them. Hope this helps. Sorry.

  5. There are some businesses that list on mls for a "flat fee".  $500-1000.  The problem is, if the Realtors are not getting paid they won't show your house.  Use a Realtor they are worth it.  They put alot of time and money (advertising) into selling you home.
