I try to sleep but i just lay there. I think about way too much stuff, just random things, the guy I can't stop thinking about, imagine things I want to happen. Everytime I almost fall asleep, my mind just keeps thinking and thinking. It's almost 3 AM. I do this every night. I didn't go to bed last night til probably 7AM and slept for few hours and woke up probably ever half hour or so til 10. What is wrong with me? How can I get my mind to shut off and let me sleep? :(

  1. I've done this myself. Ok, I have an idea :)

Get into bed earlier to give you time to relax.

Go onto you  music downloads limewire or something

and type in relaxation music. Put this on to make your

room sound nice and calm :)

Buy some incense.. you burn it & it smells good :)

try lavender, spirit guide, sandal wood or vanilla. they're cheap.

Write down everything that bothers you.

    the boy you like.

    whjat you want to happen.

Write how beautiful you are :)

    everything on your mind.

The way your lunch tasted.. anything :)

Then read a novel... it makes your eyes sooo tired.

I do this. Good luck. let me know how it goeess :)

    xx Tee

  2. I think you need to get yourself into a routine.  Make a plan for the day and work it into becoming a habit.  I like getting up at 5 a.m. writing a couple of letters and then breakfast, wash and put away my dishes and then shower and dress and strive to have all of this accomplished by 8 a.m.  Then if I want to go some where for the day I'm ready to go or if I want to accomplish something such as try a new recipe or go shopping.  This works for me and you might look at it as a challenge.  As you go to bed at the same time every night and wake up to start your day you'll find your self more confident and happier.

  3. You can try meditation techniques. I believe in Deepok Chopras Seven Spiritual Laws of Success he talks of quieting the mind by pushing your thoughts to the side every time you notice them creeping in and that over time you will be able to achieve silence, but we're so used to thinking all day long all the time we're not used to turning it off. And in Anna Wises Awakening the Mind, she teaches that when we are thinking about things our tongue will find it's way to the roof of our mouth as we are prepared to talk. If you focus on keeping your tongue in a relaxed position it's hard to think about other things and you should be able to achieve a degree of silence then.

You can also focus on your heart and breathing if you turn your attention inwards to your body it might help distract from the outside world that's keeping you awake.

  4. Well,

Write down what is buzzing in your head...put it on paper. Is it something you have to do tomorrow? Write it down...It would definitely be a perfect to-do list for tomorrow...
