How can I get my money back from CVS?

I returned something that was over $50. They gave a CVS gift card instead of cash back. I already tried transferring my money to a green dot card to spend my money anywhere but they didn't let me. How am I supposed to get my money back? Any ideas? Should I try sell it online for $5 less than what's in the card?

  1. you should not have let them give you the gift card in the first place and showed them the receipt to get cash... I have a CVS right across the street... i would definitely give you 10 dollars less than what the card is worth.

  2. So why can't you just use it to buy things at CVS? Don't you ever need shampoo, or toothpaste, or soda, or a birthday card? You act like this card is worthless. It's not -- it's worth merchandise. Use it for that.
