Okay this may seem crazy. I' am a 15 year old girl, I live in Australia but I moved here when I was 11, I was born in Canada. I have always wanted to go back a little bit until quite recently going back there is all I can think of, I want to be back with my friends. Is it possible to convince my mum to let me move?

  1. It sounds as if you moved to Australia with the pre-conceived idea of returning to Canada no matter what.  You have been gone 4 yrs. a lot of changes can take place in that amount of time. Your friends move on and so does life. You could be depriving yourself of a wonderful experience, with the constant thought of moving. At fifteen I don't think it wise for you to be so far away from your parent/parents. Put your energy into getting a part time job and start saving money for the next 4/5 yrs. for a visit home. Notice I said visit. If you go with the idea of staying you may be disappointed, when old friends aren't as available as you would like them to be. Enjoy your current life, make the most of it. Good Luck

  2. You  miss your friends now but I promise you that you will miss your family even more if you moved without them. Hang in there and make new friends where you are now. It takes time but it will happen and then you won't miss your friends as much.
