My muscles in my elbows, arms, shoulders and chest are killing after a work out on Pull Up bars. I had given my seld a weeks rest before starting this new work out for my shoulders and I've been aching for days. How can I stop/help the aching and soreness?

  1. Usually stretching will solve, as it makes it easier on the micro-tears formed from exercise, but if you are doing things that are stamina based and would build up lactic acid, you could try going into the shower and putting cold water on yourself for about 2-5 seconds then warm water and repeat that, this causes the blood to almost pump and helps clear the acid build ups.

  2. Try creatine.  It's a safe supplement and helps with muscle recovery (soreness) and also keeps your pump up for better muscle mass growth.

Like any supplement, do some research (google is your friend) before you take it.  Don't just take a guys word on here...me included.

  3. stretch more before and after your workouts

  4. also drink lots of water.
