  1. are you doing over hand serving? or swing arm..? If your not doing over-hand then start... practice it .. and if your already doing overhand try doing the jump serve as it will give u more power and height on the serve, as well try placing the ball in your hand with the air hole on the direct right or left side , it will cause the ball to slightly curve in the air and throw off your competitors!

  2. Well if your a beginner then your not jump serving so i would say step back away from the serving line, make sure your left foot is infront of the other and you have the ball lined up with your right shoulder, when you toss the ball up step with your left foot and make sure your had is flat to the ball when it makes contact.

  3. Keep the toss in front of you to get a strong forward momentum.  Bring your arm back then forward in a quick strong motion to create a good armspeed.  Swing hard!

  4. hit it harder.

  5. like tennis, step into the serve, rotate your shoulders.

  6. Well, if you are doing an underhand serve, you want to stay low, and it will give you a powerful, low serve, which is what you want. When it comes to overhand, what I do is hit against the wall doing an overhand motion. This has helped me become a powerful server and I hope it will help you, too.

  7. Hit harder. Don't focus on how high the ball goes focus on how hard u hit it!

  8. Be taking a step forward when you're making contact with the ball. That will help you put your forward momentum into the ball, so you should be able to get it further.

Also, remember to contact the ball at a high point as well. The ball should NOT be too far in front of you too, cuz then you'll just be swinging down at the ball and that isn't going to help your distance.

Serving is also about routine. So just start with whatever seems to be working for you and keep doing it religiously when you serve.

  9. it just takes alot of practice and detication. if your having trouble getting the ball over the net try using a fist instead of your flat hand. this way you have a more solid contact. if you are using your fist make sure you make a totally flat contact. if you don't and you hit the ball with the side of your hand it won't go strait. make sure you are tossing the ball high enough. it should be tossed high enough so you can make solid contact with your arm fully extended. and make sure your stepping when you hit the ball.you should be stepping foreward one step with the opposite foot. if you hit the ball with your right hand step with your left. thats about all i can do for you. good luck!!!!!!!!! KEEP PRACTICING!!!!!! :)

  10. Use your abs more or get stonger abs and hit with more power

  11. 1) Throw the ball in front your fore head.

    2) Estimate the throwing yourself & hit the ball by your pump.

    3) support with your arms & waist.

Hit the ball high 1st to get over the net slowly then can hit it straight with power.

  12. Well you can hit your serve harder, but not to hard so it doesnt go out of bounds.

  13. to get ur serve to go further swing faster and make sure ur wrist is above the tape line u dont want to throw the ball up in the air u want give it a toss think hold it pull back lift hit!

  14. toss the ball just above your head and hit it hard with the center of your Palm or hit with close hand .

  15. I know everyone has said this, but it's true - hit it harder!  The problem I see with most folks who don't get an overhand serve to go far is that they don't swing hard enough.  They seem to be timid about it.

I say try serving it hard enough for it to go out.  Then you will understand how hard you can swing.  At that point, you can back down from serving that hard and you'll put it deep in the court.

    Most of all, practice.

  16. get those muscles built up

  17. you need to hit the ball at the highest, plus hit it if an open hand just like a slap in someone face. jejeje. just OPEN HAND at the highest point and right in the middle of the ball. that should do the trick

  18. ok i am in volleyball to and i am a little girl well i mean i am 13 and i weigh 95 pds any ways at first i bought a volleyball and started practicing practice makes better not perfect no one is perfect! but anyways i act like the ball is someone i really dont like! and i hit it as far and over the net as possible make sure u just keep practicing!

  19. If the ball has frontspin, it will drop, backspin will make it float more. I say the standard overhead serve and aim about 2 feet above the net.

  20. hit it at 45 degree angle

  21. Work on your vertical jump. It's all timing
