It's more like play fighting but sometimes it goes to far and it is CONSTANT! They aren't siblings but they were adopted at the same time from the same breeder. They are only one week apart in age. Please help!! I'm one tired new mom! :)

  1. Haven't you seen the Cesar Milan, the dog whisperer.  He could help you.

  2. i have 2 puppies, the toys they have are a very big problem.  when i walk through the door they seem more inept to show off for daddy,  so i will give them 5-10 minutes and then remove the toys from them. if they keep going at it with each other spread them apart with a milkbone and last resort raise my voice with 2 light spankings   (spankings still work in this day and age). good luck sincerely from a choc lab and austraillian cattle dog owner :)   *****if worst comes to worst just wait a month they WILL calm down*****

  3. You can try to control them when it gets out of hand but you cannot stop it completely. That is instinctive canine socializing and they are positioning themselves in the pack hierarchy Like human toddlers playing rough and tumble games in a sandbox to figure out who is king of the sandbox.

  4. Are these two dogs of the same s*x? If so, that may be the case. Whether these dogs are both female or both male, they will want to fight. Naturally, they want to compete against one another.  Their fighting could also be due to the fact that they want to fight for your attention. This is not true for everyone but in your case, you should consider it.

In the meantime, you should find a way to distract these two dogs whenever they begin to fight. For example, when the two dogs begin to fight, you should break up the fight and while doing so, vocally disprove of it. Then walk away. Victoria Stilwell does a perfect example of this on you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LX7-h6YwF...  This technique works whether your dogs are of both the same s*x or not.

In the future, you may want to consider neutering/spaying them. Most people have found this effective when wanting to reduce aggressive behavior.

    ****Good luck****

  5. Fighting each other is how they learn to adapt to each other. They'll learn to love each other when they sick n tired of fighting
