  1. Wash them on hottest wash (95deg C) Using a good detergent containing bleach (or add it if you are from US) also put in some nappy/diaper soaking powder.

  2. Soak in bleach and then wash them, they should return to their original state of white.

  3. Hot water, soap, and bleach then wash again with nothing to get rid of the bleach smell.

  4. Wash with bleach.

  5. First, soak them for a long time, 2-3 hrs, in Oxyclean.  Then run a regular load of soap and chlorine bleach.  You can add bluing to the rinse water, and that is found in the laundry department of stores.  A few teaspoons of blueing willl really brighten them up  If you have any blood stains on them, hydrogen peroxide will lift the stains, but  you will need to reapply it several times and then soak for at least a day in Oxyclean.

  6. make sure you use bleach everytime you wash them

  7. to get them SPARKLING white, just use clorox bleach

or recently, my mom just bought some clorox freshcare towels

they're designed to clean more, & stay sparkling white

  8. try Oxy cleaner, and not one in the laundry detergent section , but the oxy cleaner in the house hold cleaner isle its made for carpet, but its fantastic, i use it on mine along with a a little peroxide! you can also add a cap full of bleach, but the oxy stuff usually works the best!!! good luck ...hope it helps!

  9. Are they just dingy? Try bluing. You can buy it in the laundry section of your local grocery store or wal-mart. Follow the directions on the bottle and no it will not turn them blue it will whiten them. Your grandmother used this all the time I am sure. Also try hanging your towels in the sun, the sun is a natural whitener. Bleach will stay in your towels and clothes so if you must use bleach use it only every second or third wash.

  10. Depending on WHY they are not so white, I would try the following first.  Wash the white towels with ONLY white fabric and I would add to the rinse cycle, some blueing.  You can still get it at some stores, when I see it, I grab all they got, cause many people don't use it any more.  A few drops in the rinse cycle with help make them appear brighter.  I would also air dry them on a clothesline in full sun.  If that doesn't do it, then I would wash in hot water and a 1/2 cup of bleach and  add it after the cycle started and I had already put in the detergent.  Stop the cycle after its mixed well together and let it sit for an hour, then finish the cycle and in the final rinse water, add a full cup of regular white vinegar to the final rinse.  If that doesn't do it, try a full cup of Oxyclean in with the hottest water setting and again, stop the cycle for an hour or more and let it sit.  One of these is bound to return the bright back into your whites.  Also, NEVER EVER mix other colors with white towels, makes them look dingy over time!  Hope this helps you!  Good lcuk!
