Question:

How can I get my window tint ticket dismissed?

Tonight I just got a ticket for having my front windows tinted and the office told me to appear in court for it with some type of proof that they were removed and the case would be dropped. I have an older pic of my car with no tints on them. I was thinking of just using that and hoping that it should work because I really do not want to get my tints taken off. Do you think my idea will work or do you have any other ideas that would work without me having to take my tints off?

  1. Lying to the court is a crime itself called perjury.  That is a felony that carries a hefty fine, and sometimes jail time.  Your best bet is to remove the tint and have a police officer sign a paper saying he saw the car as such.

Obeying the law is cheaper in the long run.  If you don't remove them, and get away with it this time, next time you may not be allowed to remove the tint, you'll just get a fine as well as having to remove the tint.

  2. Just take the tints off or have them be legal. meaning maybe they where too dark and you can get them a little lighter. The fact is its against the law and if you show up in court with the old pic and lie to the judges face..you will be in a loda of trouble.

  3. In California, a police officer has to "sign off" your citation after inspecting your car for the corrections.  Not corrected? No "sign off."

You then take the "signed off" ticket to the court clerk for dismissal.

The only way is to have an officer sign it off with out inspecting it.  Good luck.

  4. Just take off the d**n tints.

I think *ALL* tints should be illegal, and be considered a points violation. People driving behind and to the side of you depend on being able to see what's on the other side of your car/SUV in order to accurately guage traffic, you self-centered fuc*.

  5. You can try it, but if it doesn't work your going to be in bigger trouble.....what's worth it, paying the fine, lying to the court, or getting your tint removed...........your choice

  6. The cop that gave you that ticket got to court somehow, and if he sees your car in the parking lot with tinted windows (oh, he WILL look) then you are in some serious trouble. And don't think he won't be looking for you when/if you drive through his city or town again!

  7. they will ask to see the car in person so just take it off for now and put it on later!!!
