How can I get off a yahoo group [kiwisunrise] when i dont know the yahoo id or password underwich I was joined

My son was put into a yahoogroup at a summer camp i dont know by who or how but now I am receiving several hundred spam a day arriving at my email each day via this group [kiwisunrise] I have joined yahoo just so I can get off this dam group. Please help

You can send an e-mail to the group's unsubscribe address that will look something like this:

[e-mail]

I did a group search for that group and came up with one called kiwisunrisecisv. Here is the link to it: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/kiwisunris...  That group sounds like it started out good to be where people could discuss the camp after they returned home.  Then much later on, it turned into a spammer's heaven.  

If that is where your spam is coming from and you don't know your son's user name and password, the only sure-fire thing you can do is send a blank email to kiwisunrisecisv-unsubscribe@yahoogroups....

As much traffic as that group is getting, it could take a long while for the unsubscribe to take effect.  

The only other thing is if you son was under the age of 13 years old at the time he "was joined", you can complain direct to Yahoo staff that he was made a member without your knowledge or permission.  Use the Yahoo Help form: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/...

since you don't know that info, at the bottom of the e-mails is either a unsubscribe link via mail, or and the web site (go to group) you'd need to send a blank e-mail to the unsubscribe address listed at the bottom of the group- this will take a few days a a week for mail to stop. this isn't the best way to leave a group and it reflect pronto, but the only way sine you don't know the ID/password
