I have to supply my own shirts at the country club at work, and they are expensive. I have oil spots from tarter sauce and vinegrette dressings all over them. Is there any way to get them out?

  1. Use cake soap having strong detergent in it ......mark the spots where the oil is prominent ......rub the cake on wet cloth ; keep for about 5 minutes ( max) and then you will have to use brush or your hand /palm with fingers and remove the stains easily . Remember , after using soap cake , you are not supposed to keep in that condition for a long time.....,the colour and the cloth also gets affected . Try on any cloth first and then do it as I suggested.....You can use your washing machine later on along with other clothes to have the same appearance & cleanliness as the rest. This will work fine for you .

  2. this only works occasionally but spray some hairspray on it and scrub

  3. dish soap! Use Dawn or palmolive. Put it on the stain and roll the shirt up and throw it in. My boys love noodles with butter and they wipe their hands on their shirt and leave the gray spot. The dish soap works everytime.

  4. Put a Coke in with your wash. It has to be Coke. It will pull the oil right out; but you might have to do it a couple of times, depending on how badly stained your clothes are. For future reference, use coveralls.

  5. put some coca-cola in when you launder them

  6. oil stain remover

  7. Use dish soap and scrub it in a little.  It should work.  I tried Pine Sol one time and that did that trick too.  Just make sure that you DO NOT WASH the laundry before you treat the fabric.  If the shirts are really expensive then leave it to a professional and get it dry cleaned.

  8. Rub "DAWN" dishwashing liquid int stains.  Wash in warm water.

Repeat if any stains still show.

  9. umm sorry, but my mom used to tell me that oil stains are forever. but don't worry maybe rubbing ginger ale or canada dry might help.

  10. vodka and celery. scrub scrub scrub

  11. you can use a can of coca cola and dawn dishwashing soap.  that works with my coveralls.

  12. i would throw them in teh wash. worked with gasolin and oil before. DO NOT TRY TO PUT WATER ON THEM! if you try rubbing it off with water and dont do a thourough job it might ruin youir shirt. if you have already try the dry cleaning. should only cost about a dollar and change.
