I can get on my full box on my right foot, but i cant seem to get on my full box on my left foot. Maybe because im right handed and/or i tend to naturally favor the right side of my body. Are there any excercises that would improve the arch in my left foot quickly?

  1. The first exercise I was taught, about 100 years ago, was to stand facing the barre, both hands on it, plie then releve on full pointe, then plie while in the releve position, keeping your knees over your toes.  Technique and form are critical if this is going to help your arch.

  2. well just standing on point and forcing yourself onto your box will evenly increase your foots natural arch by itself. other wise you can do rises, and just stretch on your foot, so constantly point and flew... oh and try this exercise!!! :

so you put both your legs straight out in front of you. then point your one toe. then try pointing the other toe a little farther. then take to other toe, flex it and try pointing it harder! if you continue to do this the arches of your feet will stretch out nicely. also to stretch it out...take the foot you want to stretch and with your point shoes on, cross one leg over the other, and then bend your knees. the foot you want to stretch out should be the one in front, and put your foot so that you are way over the box and your laces are pointing down. im sorry its hard to explain but i hope you get what i mean, so its like over the tops of your toes. ya hope these help!
