I have 2 stepsisters and 1 stepbrother (but not close to) (all married) as well as a future sister-in-law (also married). We have our wedding party chosen, which includes my fiance's 2 brothers. How can we incorporate our other siblings (and possibly spouses) into important aspects of our wedding?

  1. We are having our four brothers (2 each) as our ushers.  You may also have people do readings (search "about.com" for "wedding readings" - they have great examples) during your ceremony.  You may also chose 1-2 people to "man" the guest book and gift tables.  Some people have their friends sing or play a musical instrument for a song during the ceremony, also.  I hope that helps!

  2. We didn't have a wedding party, but my brother made a toast and played guitar with the band.  You can also have people do readings.

  3. Agree with the PP.  Have them be ushers (greeters/handing out programs/guest book attendants/seaters, etc.).  Are they musically inclined?   have them do prelude music as the guests are being seated or during the ceremony (candle lighting/communion, etc.)  If you don't have a wedding coordinator, maybe pick one to kind of be the go to person on the day of the wedding (pay the vendors, making sure everything is in its place, etc.)

or better yet...the best help of all... they can give you money, now that's really incorporating them into your wedding... jk..it was a joke =0)
