I have had dish for 8 months and have 10 months left on my contract. Since we got it We have had problems. I have to point the remote in my room (tv 2) in a certain angle in a certain way, i was told i had a bad copy of software that the dvr had so I would have to wait for dish to fix it which i think still isn't fixed. When watching a recording or live tv, the picture will sometimes freeze and blur for a few seconds and then resume. It happened this morning and I missed the play of the usa mens game when wade stole the ball and through an alleyoop to lebron. Thank god for replays. Dish has told me to deal with it and that i need to try some things on my own to fix there problems. It has also just stopped recording in the middle of a program. I have a new box since tuesday and it is still happening.

How do i get out of this

  1. We had similar problems and we had to wait out the 18 months or pay $500 for the DVR box, the day the contract expired we signed on with Direct TV. Direct is user friendly and easier to control when there is a problem. With Dish, we had to call all the time.

We found that the materials and the equipment that Dish used to install the system was substandard and the HD that we had been paying for was not even functioning. When the sign up incentives ran out they kept adding charges to my bill and I had to keep calling to take off these added charges.

We will never see a refund and I do not want to get into a hassle over it.

You might want to check the dish to see if it can be rotated in another direction for better service. Good Luck.

If you stop paying them they will use your charge card that you signed up with and you will be even more angry.

  2. i wouldnt pay them anymore.
