  1. depends..if you never or rarely overdraft your account a friendly call explaining what happened will usually get you forgiveness the first time. of course if they made an error provide the documentation and keep going up the ladder until someone approves the refund. good luck.


  2. if you can prove that the overdraft was not your fault, you may either get the bank to refund the fees, or go after the company that caused the problem.  I did that, pitched a fit with my mortgage company for being stupid, and they refunded all 9 overdraft fees and sent a letter to the bank saying the problem was their fault, not mine.  Good luck!

  4. Just ask them to take them off your account.

    If you bounce checks often it's hard to get the money back. If you have several overdrafts at once they will probally remove a few of them but not all.

    Go into the bank and ask one of the desk people to remove the charges. I know Wachovia will often remove them. I have even had the fee removed over the 1-800 customer service number.
