How can I get paid for doing what I love, travelling and volunteering?

Question

I have always wanted to dedicate my life to helping people but its expensive to travel around the world volunteering especially when you have to pay to volunteer. Is there a job I can do that would allow to to travel and volunteer and get paid for it.

Also a friend suggested working for the UN but I don't know if there's a job description for what I want to do. If there is can you please help me.

People in the developing world need people with practical expertise that can help them get jobs to sustain their families and build their own capabilities to improve their lives. They need people who are *highly* skilled, not just people who want to help and have good hearts.

Most international hires for the UN require people with Master's Degrees and a fluency in a UN language in addition to English (Russian, Spanish, French, Arabic, or Chinese), though Portuguese and Hindi are also highly desired.
