How can I get people at work to stop talking to me?

You guys are a riot! Okay, I'm about to try out your suggestions.

Do you want to live a very lonely life? I'm sure those who talk to you enjoy your company!  Concider it a compliment!! I know of people who go to work, put in their day, then repeat the boring cycle over and over. Does THAT sound like fun to you? I should hope not! When people like to talk to you,whether it be at work,home, or 'play' that is their way of saying you are a great person to be around and "thanks for being there for me" Can't you accept a compliment? Some of us have a hard time 'outright thanking someone' so we do it in ways that we feel the other person (you) might appreciate.

Get a pair of glasses with eyes painted on them and everytime someone comes up and starts talking to you, but the glasses on.  They'll get freaked out and leave!

Or you could get a job as a ranger in some remote national park that nobody ever goes to :o)

You can slip out of a conversation easily.  Let a sentence or two get by and then interject.

I have to use the bathroom

Pick up your phone as soon as they walk near you.

Look distracted.  

Tell them politely you don't have time right now, but maybe later?

That's easy, have a different conversation than they're having.

Say someone comes over and says,

"did you see that show last night on tv" answer

"you're the one who took my jacket?"

"what did you have for dinner last night"

"Yes I have 3 sisters, Samantha, Clara, and Anna"

No one talks to me at work. I'm always eager to talk to people about the comic books I read. If whenever people talk to you, you talk to them on and on about comic books. People will stop talking to you really soon. AND you won't even seem rude.

well interaction is a natural part of work its hard to ignore but if you dont feel the need to talk jus sit at your desk or give easy answer
