How can I get people to join my business?

I am a Mia Bella Candle Independent Distributor and I love the candles and everyone I have met buys them, but need pople to join my team. any suggestions. never did MLM. can someone help.

Why not start with a website and put your products on or maybe a shop would be more useful http://www.cashclimbers.com is free hosting, it's a complete package so you get the domain name, website, shop etc and hosting free, then you can really have some fun blogging about your candles and using the blogs as an advertising opportunity which is free so adding links to your sites and directing traffic to your shop or website. advertise in the paper, on a cinema screen, tv, or maybe delivery leaflets to houses around your area. you can put up advertisements for recruitment in a shop window. x x

why dont you start a webiste or join ebay its all very easy i had a ebay shop for a while be glad to help you as to advice and so on

If you are doing candle party's you can ask each guest if they are interested to hear more about what you do...tell them how much you love it and how well you are doing etc. Put an ad in the local paper asking for any interested persons and put up bulletines.

MLM - or multi-level-marketing - is just a variant on pyramid sales.  You are just a cog driving someone else's wheel so now you need to recruit more cogs to drive yours.  The higher up the chain, the more you potentially gain so your motivation (and theirs) is to keep making the chain longer.

These are not the characteristics of a successful business person or a successful business.  Where does your struggle to innovate to satisfy customer needs figure in this?  It doesn't really, does it?  You sell as much as you can of someone else's product to your mates and then you are stuck.  Meanwhile, the person above you in the pyramid has done OK out of it .... but would do even better if you could persuade someone else to buy through you to exploit the friendship of THEIR mates.  Let me guess ... you didn't make a packet out of it, did you, but you are assured you will if you find more suckers.  Sound familiar?

My advice is not to perpetuate this pyramid but to direct your entrepreneurial skills to a real business.  You seem to have the motivation.
