Comment on popular deviant's pages, saying nice things about them.

Go into the chat, and go into ThumbsShare, and well, share thumbnails of your work.

Go into chats, talk to people for a while.

Get people to feature you in their journal.

All of this will pay off, but it won't give you instant popularity.

well this works or you could draw lots of anime, fanart, and anything else thats not real original.
