Things You’ll Need:

A dry erase marker

A rag

A wet paper towel

Step1Color over the permanent marker marks with a dry erase marker.

Step2Then, wipe the area with a dry rag to remove both the permanent marker and the dry erase marker.

Step3Wipe the area down with a wet paper towel to remove any remaining traces of ink--and your item is as good as new!

Besides the dry erase marker, which I have had some success with as well, I suggest aerosol room deodorizer. Yes, silly sounding. At my old work I was using a permanent marker and it leaked through onto a brand new Formica type surface. Uhhhgggg. A co-worker came to my rescue by spraying ample amounts of this sort of industrial brand aerosol room deodorizer directly onto the stain- it wiped right off with a soft dry towel. I have been using that trick ever since.

If it is on a hard non-porous surface, try rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover... but be careful, it may leave marks or take the entire finish off. Try it in an area that you can't see first.
