  1. Be happy with the privacy you have indoors.  Those who live in the barracks have none.

  2. in a bathroom close window shades and door

  3. How about some large potted plants like those tropical fan type plants? Also they sell tented outdoor rooms in places like Target--will give you shade and some privacy. beach umbrella tilted just right. a clothesline with sheets on it. A hedge row of aborvitae plants. Plant huge sunflowers --provides shade privacy and food for birds.

  4. This is a tough problem which I share. My neighbour's

deck overlooks my backyard. I have a 8 foot fence and they still can see over it! Its a major pain. Are you allowed to put

up a fence? A high fence would block the view. If you are

not allowed to put a fence how about asking to plant some

fast growing bushes that will act as a barrier between you and your neighbours. If you are allowed to do either of the two ask your neighbours if they would like to split the cost as they might want a bit of privacy also. Failing these ideas the only thing I can suggest is getting temporary divider made which you can fold and unfold to block the area where you are sitting. These would be similiar to a screen that you would use in your bedroom. They would be cheap to make with just some pieces of wood used to make three or four separate panels which you can hook together with hinges and then staple material onto the screen frames. Easy to set up and

easy to take down and store.

  5. Put a few tall plants in pots and line them up to make a natural privacy screen.

  6. You can put up a few of those folding/accordion privacy screens. They are removable and therefore would be ideal for renters.
