We went to some Top Fuel drag races recently, and we're 2nd row..I wore white shorts (it was last minute deciding to go..) and now I have small black specks all over them (bits of tire). Is there a way to get em out with out ruining my shorts? I tried a bleach pen already...

  1. Give them a good soak in dish liquid and HOT water.  Fill the sink with really hot water and add about 1/4 cup of liquid dish soap. (I use Dawn)  Let it soak for several hours and rinse them really well.  Wash in cold water with NO detergent to completely remove the dish soap.  Good luck!

  2. Nope!! you have to get new shorts! Next time stay several rows off the track side!!

I sympathize as I ruined a white blouse that way. My hosts wanted to stand on the offside fence.

  3. May be they are peels. You can remove by sticking adhesive tape and removing it with one stroke.

  4. Try soaking your shorts in  OxyClean (don't rinse it out), then wash the shorts in Borax and Tide Heavy Duty Liquid Laundry Detergent. Also, Shout with Resolve Stain Fighter works on tough stains too. Give all of these a shot. Works for me on my Husband's grease and food stained Restaurant Uniforms.
