Question:

How can I get ready for football season next week?

I have been doing a weight training program all summer but there is a break in between this week and when it starts next week.

My main question though is how can I get prepared for practice next week. I dont know what to expect

  1. I'd suggest some stretching each day, jogging each day, and try to maintain at least weightraining at home for the same number of days during the week you were training during the summer..  Eat right, get plenty of rest, stay hydrated and good luck!


  2. you shoulda been getting ready all summer football is a year round sport its all about the offseason

Get into a running habit.  You will be running in FULL GEAR.  So, if your used to running (at least 1 mile a day) when you put on the gear it won't be such a shock.  Make sure your eating healthy, drinking PLENTY of fluids and getting the rest your body needs.  All three of my sons play, and I know how much those weeks in August drain the body.  Make sure you're rested and have the fluids in you!
