How can I get rid of Power-Antivirus-2009

Question

I added this on by mistake cant get rid of it it says its password protected so cant delete it. Please HELP!

Power Antivirus 2009 is a rogue anti-spyware program that displays false and exaggerated scan results. Thankfully, though, there is a totally free way to remove this program.

First goto Clamwin and install Clamwin portable

This software allow you to install the anti-virus program on a USB drive.

Update the anti-virus definition files.

Take this USB drive with Clamwin installed to your PC.

Boot up your PC in safe mode command prompt.

Plug in the USB drive and run Clamwinportable.exe using your keyboard command. Scan your PC memory for virus.

Then scan all your PC drives for viruses.

Try to remember the password or go into safe mode, in safe mode you will beable to delete anything you want because nothing loads in safe mode, like if you had a virus it will not load the script because in safe mode all scripts, programs are disabled on startup, only the ones you want. so I'd advise you to go in safe mode and delete it if you can not remember the password, if it made a default password it could be NO password, administrator, 2008, 0000 or possably 2009. Don't use removal programs because it could possably contain a virus or spy-ware.

I had the same problem a few days ago...It was very annoying...

First you have to install the program: Spybot Search and Destroy

Then you have to go on safe mode and run the program....there are parts of Antivirus 2009 you cannot get rid of unless you use this method..or something similar..And whatever it says..DO NOT purchase the program!
