  1. yup lemon juice is it

  2. well, when my sink disposal smells, my mom pours bleach down it, or try to grind up lemons or lime. It smells great! After wards I'd take out the lemon or lime, because it might not grind up.

  3. Enjoy a big juicy orange and dispose of the peel via the disposal.  Any citrus fruit will cut the grease that builds on the blades, and make your kitchen smell wonderful.

  4. mix some lemon with bleach and a little salt burns down any unwanted leftovers =)

  5. The system needs a good cleaning. Something has gotten stuck and it is decaying. Get it cleaned soon or you'll have bugs/flies there too.

By the way, combining products like chlorine bleach and certain others can produce toxic gas.

  6. Under the sink, there should be a U-bend in the draingae pipe. At the bottom of the U-bend there should be a plug. Put a bucket underneath and undo the plug. Water and nasty smelly things will drop out into the bucket.

  7. try TANG (ORANG DRINK MIX) tang for real, it works in the dishwasher too.

  8. drain cleaner. maybe there is something in there that makes it stink. ever think off that?

  9. cut lemons and drop them down the sink

  10. baking soda let it sit a while THEN run the citrus through

  11. take a lemon orange (ect.) citrus fruit and peel it then take the peel run some water turn on the disposal and put the peels in you can also just use the fruit

  12. If, after you have cleared it of any offending culprits that could be causing the odors, I pour approx 1 cup of plain white vinegar down it, and just do not use it for about 15 minutes or longer.  Bacteria is what is causing the odor and vinegar is supposed to kill off most bacteria and is far cheaper than a lemon, orange and not as toxic as bleach.  Although if I have any citrus rind on hand, that can be run thru as well. I also use a 50-50 vinegar water solution to santize my counter tops.

  13. lemon juice, don't run water for a while.

  14. Pour a small amount of bleach down the disposal then citrus or lemon juice.

  15. cut up a lemon and throw it down the disposal.  this works everytime for me.

  16. pour baking soda down the drain and let it sit for quite some time. Then run either lemon or orange peel down the disposal.  Make sure that anytime you use your disposal you let the water run a good 30 secs after the food is chopped up, this will help with rinsing the disposal out and there will be less smell.

  17. Cute a lemon in half and run it through the disposal... works great for me
