  1. Ants will not cross a chalked line.

  2. First, you must remove any food source that these ants could be using. Then you could use a number of things to rid them. 1> Bleach. Pour directly on the mound. Just a small amount. 2> Sulphur. Sprinkle around the mound and around the  outside edges of the patio.(Also keeps other pests away) 3. Dish detergent & water. Pour directly onto the mounds. Considerable amounts of this to flood the mounds.. 4. Vinegar. Also pour directly onto the mound.  Any of these should take care of your problem.   Good Luck

  3. use a hose

  4. I think my granny used to use ashes from the fireplace, she would sprinkle them around... dunno if it actually works though.

  5. dishsoap + water

mix it in a spray bottle and you're good to go

ants are killed by the boric acid in the soap

you can also use baby powder i believe

of course, it has to be eco-friendly dishsoap and baby powder ;]

  6. Sprinkle baby powder around they won't cross over it.

  7. Try tap-dancing.

  8. Easy!

Just set a trail of breadcrumbs from the porch to a dish of meat out on the lawn whenever you sit out there.  They'll get the idea that you don't want them there, and that you'll be compensating them with the harvest of their lives.

  9. Ants hate the smell of lemons. I have used Lemon Lysol in the spray bottle to get rid of ants. I works! It also gets rid of spiders!

  10. Use either orange oil or lemon oil. They hate it ,so do termites! Use that and you won't see any ants around. Mom got that from her Mom,and she from her Mom. Works too! Byee
