  1. bees are vital for agriculture!!! don't git rid of them :)

  2. Are they in your house?  Is there a nest in the wall or attic?  Or are you just talking about bees in the yard and garden?

In the former, you have to get rid of the nest.  In the latter, I do not think you should, and even if you still want to, more will come back after you wipe out the ones that are there now so not much point.

  3. Smoke.   Start a small fire near the hive.  In a can or bucket.  The more smoke the better.

  4. Why would you want to get rid of them?  They are becoming endangered in the USA, and as a result the honey crop will drop, and many things we take for granted will no longer exist.

If they have somehow got into a part of your house, or something like that, they need to be "moved" not destroyed.  And, to do that, you need to call a "bee keeper".

If you are just responding to a swarm ball in your tree, or ?, then don't worry about it, they "will" leave.

Bees will not sting you unless you harass them.  I've kneeled down right next to a hive before, only 2 feet away, and never got stung, because I didn't do anything threatening.  They only sting out of defense or if they think the hive is being threatened.

Loose your fear and you'll stop worrying.

PS - Smoke will NOT get rid of them.  It will only slow them down for a short period, not make them leave or kill them.

  5. like others have said don't kill them they really wont bother you unless they're in your house then you'll want to call a beekeeper they can take them and put them in a hive but if they are just in a tree they wont bother you if you dont bother them however if you still want them gone then call a beekeeper but expect to lose the tree if they have a hive inside the tree but if they just look like a big ball of bees hanging off of a limb on a tree then they are a swarm they will eventually leave they are just using your tree as a resting spot for them to eat and send scouts out to find a good place to build a hive swarms are pretty easy to remove i assume you don't know any beekeepers because otherwise you would ask them but you could look up a beekeeping supply store in the yellow pages usually they are connected with a honey farm.

  6. Get some hornets.  They kill bees.

I like bees.  I like spiders, too.  They are good for the environment.  Really, don't kill the bees.  Just don't blow on them.  Your breath attracts them and gets them nervous enough to want to end their own life on you.
