How can I get rid of belly button odor?

Question

I do not have any piercings anywhere near my belly button or in it, and I have generally good hygiene (I bathe/shower daily and wash everywhere and obsessively try to wash my belly button because it smells horrible).

There's no puss, discharge, nor blood, but for some reason it has a horrible odor to it (smells like I took a c**p or something). I try cleaning it in the shower with face-clothes, cutips, anything to try and help but it doesn't seem to do much. What are the causes of belly button odor such as this and how can I get rid of it, its not noticeable but its disgusting. = (

(For reference, I have an "inny" belly button).

Try cleaning it with like Axe Bodywash or something similar, if it does not remove the scent it will at least cover it up.

hmmm...

just wash it with soapy water,use a washcloth,then, when you get out of the shower,get a Q-tip and put alcohol on it,and clean around and in your belly button and vwala          \(^_^)/ ...u got a clean belly button ..lol

Put anti-fungal cream in your belly button. Like lotrimin.  Or something for Athletes foot.   My friend had a problem with her belly button odor and her doctor told her to just use a anti fungal cream.  Weird, but it worked.

You are keeping it clean so after you shower,  make sure to get it dry with a towel and then a Q Tip.  After that, clean it out with hydrogen peroxide, using a Q Tip again.   Try this first and then if doesn't work go for the anti-fungal creams as suggested by others.
