How can I get rid of creeping ivy.?

I live in a 2nd floor flat, and the man below has started to grow a creeping ivy and it is nearly covering my window. Can anyone help, I am really desperate.

  1. Cut the stem at ground level it will die off.Sever it completely.


  2. cut it down, or during the night without anyone seeing you, pour some diesel on the ivy, they also sell weed killer for ivy's that you can spray it with..

  3. Just cut it back...or if you're desperate spray it with a weed killer.

    next door to us did exactly this, after 12yrs it cost thousands of pounds to remove, and did as much damage... the council werent happy, and as a homeowner they had to pay...

  5. You can either use a weed killer that you can buy at Home Depot or Loews, or you can call a professional, but he/she will probably just do the same thing that you would with the weed killer, so i recommend just using the weed killer.
