How can I get rid of mosquitoes in my yard?

I live in a 400 house community, with a small backyard and small front yard. There is no standing water anywhere near our house, I’ve checked. Every time I go outside after about noon, there are immediately 5 or 6 mosquitoes landing on my feet and legs. It’s driving me mad, that I can’t use my front yard to relax in. I can’t even spend time on my front porch with a glass of wine. What kind of things can I do to get rid of my mosquito problem? I have a 5 month old puppy so I want to be careful of poisons. I just tried this and it worked great. Put some Listerine (regular,not mint) in a spray bottle and spray your area with it. It works without using all the poisonous chemicals.
