The guy who owned the house before us had a stash of them in the garage. I want to get rid of them but there is a lot! I was hoping for an earthday drop off this year but they didn't have one!! Where else can I get rid of them at? I have like a hundred of them so I am afriad if I take it to a somewhere they would want me to pay to get rid of them.

  1. Contact your local Dept of Public Works. They should have locations that take it.

  2. The EPA has pretty good information about this, including disposal sites near you.

  3. look for a hazardous waste disposal site most cities have them contact the waste management section of the city they should know or look in the yellow pages for hazardous waste disposal

  4. You can buy a prepaid mercury devices recycling pail  that will be shipped right to your house at: http://veoliaes-ts.com/RecyclePak

It is very convenient because you do not need to leave your house or call around to find someplace to take them!
