How can I get rid of some old college textbooks?

Question

My college won't take them back because they use switched to a different edition. I can't sell them online because most of them are only worth a dollar which won't even pay for my gas to the post office.

Can I donate them? Where?

We work with a company that will accept them as a donation.  We will cover the postage but you do have to drive them to the post office.
