I have cleaned and cleaned my two upstairs bathrooms and spray them with bleach. The springtails temporarily disappear and then come back, they can even survive being sprayed with bleach. Do I have to get an exterminator. Why are they in the second floor? Where can they be coming from?

  1. Control measures are not usually recommended or required. Swarms are short lived and don't last more than a few days. Swarming around foundations and doorways can be prevented by eliminating excess moisture and keeping ground level entrance areas of buildings free of rotting leaves and debris. Snowfleas or springtails are not likely to survive long in a dry indoor environment

The second floor is it humid? If so get a dehumidifier up there fast.
