How can I get rid of the blurry images?

All my icons, words, images have ghost-like shadows "bleeding" to the right. What are they and how can I get rid of them?

1 start menu

2 right click computer

3 properties

4 advanced system settings

5 advanced tab > click settings under 'Performance

6 visual effects tab > unheck the shadow ones

Try the 'degauss' function on your monitor front panel. Make sure you don't have any electrical outlets or wires very near the monitor. This can cause disturbance in some monitors. If it's an LCD monitor, it could also be a problem with pixels.
