How can I get rid of the lines thru my cable TV?

I just got a new cable box and on every channel there are purple lines running thru it accompianied by a buzzing sound. Trying to see if its just a quick fix or something is causing the interference..???

  1. Contact your cable provider and ask for a tech person to come out to checkout your box.


  2. Sounds like a bad tv or something such as a dvd player. Is the cable tv line hooked directly up to your set? If it is, and you have another tv, try swapping them out. Check all cables for any insulation missing to prevent outside signals from leaking in. Make sure all of your connections are tight and check any splitters and also disconnect any other outlets. If none of that works call your cable company and schedule a service call. They should be able to tell you if your signal is ok or not.  

  3. move your tv to a different spot or call your cable company
