How can I get rid of the print the stickers have left on my crickt bat when I pulled the stickers off?

I've pulled the stickers off an old bat and there are prints left of where the stickers were. The wood is lighter and there are sort of shaddows of where the stickers were. How do I get rid of this?

sounds wierd but put some mayo on it and leave for ten mins, scrape off with a spatula and its comes off!!!

sounds proper strange i know and when i saw it myself, i thoguht it wouldnt work but it did.

Try sanding it a bit then applying a coat of linseed oil.

Not sure you, can the wood has changed colour by the atmosphere, like paper does with age, the stickers prevented this, you could find a suitable wood stainer. but you may choose to leave it as it is.

Apply linseed oil and you will be able to purchse stickrs from a cricket shop our any cricket shop on internet

providing this is a bat made of actual willow you will need to use a very light sand paper but do not be to aggressive then wipe down the bat with warm water leave it to dry for about half an hour do not leave it in the sun. then use a cloth to apply a coat of linseed oil if its old give it a couple of coats

that mark must have remained by that glue (some organic compound) used to stick those stickers... so you can use some organic solvents like kerosense for example to remove that prints... i am not so sure however what color those solvents might leave on the wooden bat...

Wash the bat with a bit of water first. It helps because it makes all the prints a bit fainter...then sand it down. Should work. Hope it helps.
