Question:

How can I get rid of tiny spiders inside without pesticides?

Okay I asked this the other night and got some wonderful responses. But someone reported me for no reason & my question got deleted so I can't see the response. :( I remember something about lavender & lemon essential oils, but I don't remember much else.

I have been noticing several little reddish spiders in my bathroom and bedroom lately. I do leave the bathroom window open sometimes because I have to smoke in there due to a medical condition. But the screen is always up and it's pretty good condition).

I have had to kill the spiders. I don't want to & I don't want to use a pesticide unless it's going to be hard not to. How can I keep them from getting into my house? If you answered the other night, please reiterate as someone removed my question for no reason. I'm so sorry! Thanks in advance!

  1. if you have a few baby spiders most likley there are many many more, either there already, or on the way == have it done by a pro= but to put your mind at ease try talking them out first= or use duck tapt to seal any cracks where they should appear==== you have a problem like that= talk to the landlord === orkin, or pest away= god luck

  2. Get one big spider to eat the little ones, or a cat, cats like eating spiders as well.

  3. So I found your other question cached from before and I copied the answer so here:

you have clover mites juveniles you could place out sticky glue pads along the window sill to catch them and prevent entry

Spiders detest the smell of lavender or lemon. Use some essential oils in your window sill area. It will deter without killing the little darlings.

I'm kidding about them being little darlings. They give me the heebie jeebies.

Do you have access to hedge apples? I've never used them, but several people in my family keep baskets in the basement and on the back porches. I thought they were decorative, but they have told me they keep spiders at bay.

    Good luck.

I hope these help- also you might try chestnuts. I read somwhere that if you put raw chesnuts around your house, it will discourage bugs.

  4. run around your home naked & scream until they leave.

    that should work

    ive done it before

oh, and make sure all your windows are open, that way they can flee for their lives.

  5. Use a broom or duster to twist away their web and the spider should be nearby.  Then dust it outside with the spiders too.  Spiders do only eat bugs and they know where all the bugs are.  Make sure all your window screens are in good shape because the bugs are getting in with the spiders thru some openings.
