  1. rub a wallnut on it{out of it shell}

  2. You just have to wait and they will fade by themselves - the heat from the cup has driven steam underneath the polished finish and no amount of rubbing at it will remove them, unless you sand off the surface. Be patient, it will dry out and they will disappear.

    Then invest in some pretty coasters to help stop it happening again.

  3. A french polisher could.

  4. Get some wood stain to match the original color, clean, sand and apply.

  5. Cigarette ash and olive oil, mix into a paste, smear on stain and leave over night, polish off with soft cloth.  My Grans tip and the only time I used it, it worked a treat!

  6. I have tried the cigarette ash paste to get rid

    of the white ring and it does work.

  7. I tried one of the weirdest tips I ever got on how to do this and it actually worked!  Make a paste of water and cigarette ashes and dab it onto the stained area and let it set till it dries.  Then wipe it clean.  Don't ask me how, but it did the trick.
